All (Young & Old) of us need to be reminded of the need to grow in wisdom & understanding.

The source of "Real" wisdom is not found in the world...Wisdom that will bring us closer to God... and ultimately to an everlasting relationship, can only be found in God's word. Proverbs is an excellent book to study for such wisdom.

Goals For This Class:

• To Understand A Proverb & Interpretation

• To Understand The Words Of The Wise & Their "Dark" Sayings

• Learn What Proverbs 1:7 Teaches, Express The Teaching In Your Own Words, And Quote The Verse.

• Apply What Is Learned In Your Daily Lives.

One of the greatest pleasures in teaching God's word is to see someone apply what is being taught. The second best pleasure for a teacher is the bolstering of their own faith and applying what they teach.

Class Preparation:

• We will use the workbook as a guide to our study. Please study the material and answer the questions at the end of each lesson. We will use the questions as a method for covering key points and review.

• Please come to class with the expectation of learning something and making a contribution to the class.

This seems like a simple request, however, our attitude about the class will dramatically impact what we learn and what we teach others.

If your expectation is that the class is too basic, or you already have enough wisdom, then you will meet your expectation. You will not gain anything from the study.

However, if you come to class expecting to add to your wisdom and to learn from God's word, then you in fact will.

The fundamental truths taught in Proverbs, when applied, will serve us all the days of our lives and prepare us for an eternity with God.
