Our Church Bulletins

“Wherein Ye Greatly Rejoice,”

though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: IPet. 1:6-7

Is Christianity worth it? Many who are suffering as a Christian and enduring the hardships of this world may ask that very question….is it really worth it?

If there is nothing better after this life, one might make the argument that it is not. Although I would argue that living a Godly life brings about joys even in this life.

What does the bible have to say about those who may have doubt?

Mt 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you

God tells us in this verse that we should not be just glad, but “Exceeding” glad….Why? “Great is our reward in heaven… Not good, but Great!

Why does God use such words as Exceeding and Great?

He wants us to know He is not offering some mediocre reward for our loyalty to Him!

There is a Great Day Coming!

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

  • Our Lord Is Returning To Bring Us Home.
  • The Dead In Christ Will Be Raised!

Can you imagine! What joy…exceeding gladness this will be to see…..this alone is incomprehensible ….but there is more…

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Read I Cor. 15:52-58:

  • No more suffering in this frail body!
  • No More Death!
  • We will have victory in Christ!

I Cor, 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Our labor on this earth….our sufferings….our hardships…our struggles in trying to do what is right…Is Not And Will Not Be In Vain!

Joh 14:2-3 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Can you imagine the place that our Lord has gone to prepare for us?

Is heaven, our reward, worth it? It is a foolish question if you believe God’s word.
