Bob F. Owen |
 Bob F. Owen's earliest familial relationship prepared him to trust God, follow
Jesus Christ and believe the Holy Spirit's revelation of truth. By his own choice he committed himself at an early
age to be a Christian. Through personal discipline, enabled by Almighty God, he developed himself into a Christian
worthy of trust and confidence.From
his youth he prepared himself to preach the gospel and teach important academic subjects. His preparation included
graduating from two colleges operated by Christians and a higher degree from a state university. It was improved
by his marriage to Miss Janelle Boswell, a Christian of equal commitment to God and righteousness, whose roots
also ran deeply in the Faith of Jesus Christ.His skills
led him to Florida College where he served for over forty years as professor, Dean of Students, Business Manager
and eventually, President. He has served as a local preacher for more than thirty five years; for the past ten
years he has been widely used in gospel meetings throughout the nation. He is a lucid thinker and a clear and sound
proclaimer. The training of his character hasdeveloped him into a concerned, caring and courteous Christian. He is American by birth, southern in culture, Christian by faith and conservative by discipline. His study
of this subject, growing out of a determination to put loyalty to truth before the "pleasing of men",
is worthy of studious consideration by those who are seriously concerned with knowing and living faithfully unto
God. |
