If You Can . . .
remain cheerful even when you have aches and pains,
eat the same food every day and be grateful for it, understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you time,
honestly say you have no prejudice against members of other races,
resist constantly correcting someone who has less education,
treat a poor friend the same as a rich friend,
avoid complaining and boring others with your troubles,
cope with tension without medical help,
take criticism without resentment,
forget it when something goes wrong and you are wrongly blamed,
Then, my friend, you are almost as good as your dog !
There are people who want to serve God,
but only in an advisory capacity.
